Cotton Council International (CCI), the overseas export promotion arm of the National Cotton Council, recently joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, or SAC. This move allows CCI to utilize the coalition’s sustainability measurement tools to help drive environmental and social responsibility throughout cotton’s global supply chain. Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe, Director of European Brands and Retailers for CCI, joins us via phone to talk about the coalition and how membership will help promote and achieve the U.S. cotton industry’s sustainability goals.
