2022 Election Outlook

David Wasserman is the U.S. House editor and senior election analyst for the non-partisan Cook Political Report with Amy Walter, which provides analyses of presidential, Congressional and gubernatorial races and which The New York Times said both parties regard as authoritative. Wasserman, who also addressed the National Cotton Council 2020 Annual Meeting Saturday Luncheon, is a contributor to NBC News and has served as an analyst for the NBC News Election Night Decision Desk since 2008. He has appeared on Fox News, CNN, and NPR, and his commentary has been cited in numerous outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and POLITICO. In 2016, Wasserman was praised for his accurate pre-election analysis, including a piece he wrote two months before election day entitled, “How Trump Could Win the White House While Losing The Popular Vote.” Prior to joining the Cook Political Report in 2007, Wasserman served as House editor of Sabato’s Crystal Ball, a widely respected political analysis newsletter and website. A frequent speaker and guest lecturer, he is a University of Virginia graduate.

Prayer Breakfast

Come hear an inspirational word at the annual Prayer Breakfast from Dr. Jarrett Stephens who has served for the past year as Senior Pastor of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, one of America’s largest and most diverse churches. Dr. Stephens has led the church to establish a residency program that trains seminary students who are called to ministry. He also founded CF Connect, a ministry designed to help connect pastors to the church, to one another and to church planters from across the country for resourcing and encouragement.

Dr. Stephens, who also serves on the boards of BridgeBuilders, Dallas Baptist University and the North American Mission Board, has authored two books — The Always God: He Hasn’t Changed and You Are Not Forgotten. A Louisiana native, he graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and Psychology. Dr. Stephens received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006 and his Doctor of Ministry from Liberty Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Debbie, have four daughters.
