In its final estimate of the 2019-20 U.S. cotton crop, USDA placed total production at 19.91 million bales, down slightly from the January estimate of 20.10 million bales.
The upland crop estimate was lowered by 153,000 bales from the January estimate to 19.23 million bales while the extra-long staple estimate was lowered by 36,000 bales to 686,000.
